Rule One – No Godmoding
This basically covers all the being invincible, surviving bullet shots, having your character be ‘absolutely stunning’ or act like some sort of abnormal mutant freak of nature. Ahem, slightly off track, but what I’m trying to say Is, don’t make your character perfect in everyway. That covers the topic of Mary-sues and Gary Drews (flawless characters)
Rule Two – No Powerplaying
Right, this covers playing or manipulating someone else’s character without their permission. You are only one person.. You cannot be logged in as (example) InuYasha and roleplay Sesshomaru, it’s just wrong because then the person who roleplays Sesshomaru would be like “What the f**k?”. It’s their character, let them roleplay their own character.
How would you feel if someone posted that they hit you and you died without asking you? Not good, so don’t control other character in your posts.
Rule Three – No Hentai/Serious Romance/Cybering
Keep it clean. We allow characters to have crushes on others, I allows couples but none of that sappy kissing stuff. Come on guys, we can trust you, right? I mean, you’re not perverted, are you? -shudders- Don’t answer that.
Rule Four – Swearing
We allow swearing. Yes, yes, you can swear. I’m aware that some sorts will have asterixes ( * ) replacing words, but you can swear. Things like “d**n, I’m gonna be late” or “nuts” when your character gets hit with something is fine, just don’t swear AT other characters. THAT we won’t allow unless it’s mild. We just don’t want anyone feeling a little out of place because your character is calling them moronic names.
Rule Five – Auditions and Characters
You are allowed more than one character, yes, but they have to be on separate accounts. You are only allowed two accounts. So that means you can only have two characters…yes. If you want to use NPC's to wind out a plot on your own character, yes, you can have them, but only if they are there for a slight amount of time. If you RP them in EVERY post, you might as well have a seperate account for them, because they'll be around so often it's like a seperate character. Plus, try only to have one or two NPCs, or it gets annoying, confusing and idiotic.
When you apply, if you wish to play a character, you MUST, MUST, MUST audition first or you’ll get a banning warning. If you wish to play an original, then just go post your profile.
Rule Five – Language
Firstly, please roleplay in the past tense.
Secondly, no short hand typing! That means saying u instead of you, 2 for to, two or too, ne1 for anyone, b4 for before, and so on.
Please try and spell words correctly We don’t expect really long words like llanfairpwythgywnguthgogerethweyndrobethllandisiliogogogoch to be spelt correctly every single time, but trying your best with spelling. A tip is to type your post into Microsoft word to get your spelling and grammar correct, then copy and paste it into the box on the site before you post it.
Don’t use symbols when you RP. If I was RPing my character Lord InuTaishou, I wouldn’t go:
*walks in*
But I would say:
A loud sigh escaped the lips belonging to a man with a head of long silver hair as he ambled into the room tiredly.
Get it?
Rule Six – Be Creative!
No one likes a boring RPer who’s moves and posts are dead predictable! Wind out a plot with a friend and RP together, do something exciting, don’t just RP your characters going to a shop and eating ice-cream. Perhaps on the way their they walk into someone who they haven’t seen for a long time, or they spot someone and have to hide before deciding to ditch the ice-cream and follow them.
Come on! We all like a little pizzazz!
Rule Seven – Stay in Character
This is mainly for people roleplaying characters from the InuYasha series. I mean, if you’re roleplaying Koga you wouldn’t start handing out free candy and hugging people, would you?
For made up characters, this means that if your character is a kind caring person, don’t go hitting someone without reason. It’s just common sense.
Rule Eight – Who your character is
This is pretty straight forward. Please, no relatives of characters from the series, it’s immature, uncreative and old.
Rule Nine – In and out of Character
If you want to talk to the person roleplaying as a character, don’t just type normally.
You type in OOC (Out Of Character) which means typing ((Inside double Brackets)) or ||Double Lines||
Rule Ten – Format
Please write in novel format.
What this basically means is write as though you were writing a book. You are allowed to use bold and italic and coloured writing to resemble thoughts, emphasis, or shouting but apart from that keep it novel format.
